Tour Overview & Route Details
Along the way, we’ll paddle around Otter Key, where deeper channels provide a natural pathway for manatees and dolphins moving between Sarasota Bay and the surrounding shallow grass flats. Wildlife sightings vary from day to day, but you may also encounter coastal birds, fish, starfish, and other marine life throughout the tour.
Our experienced local guides keep the experience relaxed, fun, and informative while prioritizing safety and respect for the wildlife and environment. No previous kayaking experience is necessary, making this a great adventure for families, couples, groups, and paddlers of all skill levels.

Frequently Asked Questions
Please arrive 30 minutes before your scheduled departure time. This ensures plenty of time for parking, checking in, fitting gear, and taking a quick restroom break before launching.
Morning tours (9:00 AM – 10:00 AM) generally offer the calmest waters, cooler temperatures, easier parking, and great opportunities for wildlife activity. Afternoon tours are fantastic for warm, sunny paddling and birdwatching.
Tandem kayaks are ideal for parents with young children, couples who want to paddle together, or anyone wanting to share the work. Single kayaks offer complete individual maneuverability. You can select your preference during checkout.
We take people out of all ages from 2-102. Our kayaks are safe and all our equipment is brand new this year. Depending on age and experience we will help you decide on whether a single our double kayak is best for you. Life jackets are provided for children and adults.
Sarasota Bay is a vibrant, natural habitat. While our guided tours visit well-known hotspots like Otter Key and Kelly’s Spring, these are wild animals on their own schedules. We can never offer a 100% guarantee on sightings. However, we frequently spot playful dolphins and gentle manatees throughout the bay!
Alligators prefer fresh water like lakes, rivers, and canals. The coastal waters around Sarasota, Lido Key, and the mangrove tunnels are saltwater or brackish water, which is the natural habitat for sea life like dolphins, manatees, and rays, not alligators. While it is incredibly rare to see an alligator in saltwater bays, you should always treat all local wildlife with respect and give them space.
