Very happy I booked this experience, it was one of the highlights of my trip. I had Jacob Scott as my tour guide and he did a wonderful job. He was super knowledgeable and his authentic passion and love for the wildlife and nature shined through. I saw several animals up close; A playful manatee less than 5 feet from my kayak, Osprey, a few other birds, and all kinds of little insects and animals in the mangroves. Jacob was friendly, patient, and made the whole experience really enjoyable. He shared lots of interesting trivia and fun facts about the Sarasota area and its history, which made the tour more than just paddling around the water. He also has a great sense of humor, which kept things light and fun the whole time. The pace was relaxed, the scenery was beautiful, and it was a perfect way to spend a couple of hours on the water. Kayaking fun<\/strong>\nThis was our first time coming to Sarasota and Siesta Keys so this was our first time kayaking through the mangroves. It did not disappoint!! Our tour guide Jeff was so nice and very knowledgeable on all the aquatic life and plants and waterways. Jeff made it very enjoyable and interesting and even took us to a sandbar that we were able to find some beautiful conch shells. I would highly recommend doing this tour with Paradise Adventures in Siesta keys will worth the time to do it!! I called first and was told there was no 2 hour rentals at Siesta Key but there was online so I booked it there and then everything was great. Informative pre paddling talk and we were given maps. We had a great time out on the kayaks and paddleboard. Just enough time. Disappointed that we didn't see any dolphins or manatees but can't fault Paradise Adventures for that. Very easy paddeling even on a day that was windy. Our tour guide Stephan was so knowledgeable about the area and shared some fun history and stories. HE made the trip very entertaining. Kayaking through the mangoves was a must on your trip to Sarasota. Steffan was a dedicated, kind guide with lots of knowledge and love for nature and the environment. What was disappointing is that I signed for Mangrove tour into the Mangrove tunnels. Most of the trip was listening to the guide telling us about the Ringling family, the development of Sarasota and the environment. We ended up going only twice into the mangrove tunnels which were beautiful but lasted approx 10 min each. It would have been better to go more often into the mangrove tunnels.
